The Pillars of Creation

Fragment of Earth or segment of Universe ?
Do all these sculptures erected towards the
heavens result from a flowing or from a gullying ?
Runoff of liquid water through the limestone rock,
erosion of clouds of gaz and dust by the stellar radiation.
Between the limestone concretions of the Cabrespine Chasm in
the Aude, the clouds of hydrogen gaz and dust of the Eagle Nebula,
the similarity is quite astonishing indeed, if not outstanding.
