Disseminating scientific culture to as many people as possible. Promoting the results of fundamental research in Earth and Universe Sciences. These are the main objectives of the Culture Diff' company, founded in 2000. To this end, numerous still and animated images have been designed, accompanied by original texts. A number of software programs were also created, depicting our Earth within the Universe, as well as the Sky as seen from Earth. Numerous publications, conferences(-shows) and exhibitions followed. Interviews, podcasts and TV documentaries too - see below.

« The Culture Diff' company was founded in the year 2000 with the aim of disseminating scientific culture and promoting the results of fundamental research - in the field of Egyptian archaeoastronomy, in particular. At that time indeed, I was preparing a doctoral thesis on this subject at the interface between the exact sciences and the humanities at the University of Toulouse, France. The aim was to identify, to the stars that dot our skies, those whose hieroglyphic names adorn the sides of sarcophagi and the ceilings of ancient Egyptian temples and tombs - in other words, to reconstruct the sky map of ancient Egypt. A professional project that has become the common thread running through an entire life devoted, on the one hand, to capturing light coming from the Universe using appropriate devices and, on the other hand, to recreating, using dedicated algorithms, the light that bathes every parcel of our Earth. This light that sets our atmosphere in motion, outlines the surrounding landscape, brings life, guides our steps, directs our gaze, fills our minds and nourishes our imagination. »
Fourteen years! That's how long it took to transform a simple idea - studying and then reconstituting the ancient Egyptian sky, using contemporary tools - into the subject of a thesis, the examination of the manuscript and the defence of which brought together renowned Egyptologists and Astronomers for the very first time. That was on May 21, 2008. On that very day, Toulouse became the world capital of interdisciplinarity. Read more ...

Cultural events are the perfect opportunity to exhibit, to share in real time, over time, one or more shots. They confront their author with the feelings of the public who have come, offering him/her the opportunity to present the adopted approach, to reveal a little of this creative process - seat of the thought.
To date, the Culture Diff' company's creations (photographs, photographisms, digital simulations, 2D/3D modelings) have been the subject of some twenty exhibitions - mainly in the Occitanie region, southern France. More info ...
To disseminate and share the results of your research work, it's not enough to write articles and publish them in specialized journals. You also need to get out and meet your peers and the general public. Colloquia, scientific events and art & science shows have been designed with this in mind. Interest in the theme of The Sky of Ancient Egypt explains the high number of interventions. More info ...
The Sky and Ancient Egypt fascinate us with their beauty, their eternity and even their infinity, because they both tell us something about our distant past.
