Itinerary of an advised noctambule

Enter the City Universe
then let your gaze rest on
one of the lampposts stars
that twinkle in the darkness.

Choose one of the luminaries
whose brilliance and tonality
suit you - arouse your curiosity.
In the same way as its congeners,

it materializes the end of an alley
that only you will have to journey,
possibly guided by reflections.
The slope of your pathway

will not cease to increase
since it is in direct proportion
to the gravity of the bright body.
But beware of too much proximity !

Locally, the space-time continuum
could be so much deformed
that it would be vain to hope
borrow the in reverse road.

The event horizon
once crossed, your epic
would indeed turn into a one way trip,
and every moment would last an eternity.

The glow of streetlamps and that of car headlights
