For long, the Cahiers Caribeens d'Egyptologie (CCdE) have been a joint yearly publication, in paper format, of the University of Antilles Guyane (France), of the University of Yaounde (Cameroon) and of the University of Barcelona (Spain). From 2010 to 2020, they were published by a research group named The Ankhu. The article discusses an unusual theme in the metaphoric relation between the creator god and the egg. A magical text attested on a hieratic ostracon from Deir el-Madina (ODeM 1227) presents a new metaphoric relation in which the creator god is the anticipant to the primeval egg, while the egg is who emerged from the creator (Ra), not the vice versa, as it is well attested in the religious sources. The article discusses these different themes and the relevant evidences, meanwhile assuming an interpretation for the abnormal theme that attested on ODeM 1227.

The Egyptian Collection of the National Archaeological Museum of Naples (MANN) has recently been object of a complete renovation process, culminated in the new opening of the last October, 7th, 2016. In fact, due mainly to technical reasons, since 2010 the Egyptian material of Naples was removed from the original exhibition and kept in the museum storerooms. The new setting of the permanent rooms has provided a good chance to update the interpretation on the object displayed. The new installation concept (thematic vs the previous collection acquisition history) has given the opportunity to focus the visitor's attention on some main topics of ancient Egyptian culture, such as pharaohs and man, tomb equipment (with a particular emphasis on mummies), contacts between Egypt and the Mediterranean world and religion and magie.
