The Culture Diff' softwares
Many researchers develop softwares for the needs of their research work (numerical models) or their daily needs (operating systems, utilities, etc.). In this section, two categories of softwares are available:
astronomy softwares I developed at the Laboratoire d'Astrophysique de Toulouse-Tarbes then the Institut de Recherche en Astrophysique et Planétologie (IRAP, UMR 5277, University of Toulouse and CNRS) for the needs of my research work in the field of Egyptian Archaeoastronomy. These softwares lead to determine the dates of heliacal setting and rising of stars, the days of equinoxes and solstices, the astronomical source of orientation of any monument. The access to their user interface is between 5 and 35 euros. However, free softests are available ;
softwares developed by the OpenSource community. Most of them are free, easy to use and highly innovative. Among them, there are : Ubuntu Linux, LibreOffice, Gimp, Stellarium, JSesh.
