Oc'Sciences - Sciences in Occitania

The Culture Diff' company was born on July 1, 2000 in Occitania (southern France). Initially, its existence was confined mainly to the digital world: the associated website located at www.culturediff.org was then its single showcase. Over the years, many contacts and partnerships were established with associations (Les Chemins Buissonniers, CER Phebus Ariege, La Maison de la Philosophie, La Ferme des Etoiles, etc.) and institutions (Cité de l'Espace, Muséum de Toulouse, Mairie de Toulouse, Observatoire Midi-Pyrénées, Université de Toulouse, CNRS) of the Midi-Pyrenees Region. Several achievements ensued : lectures, art and science shows, planetarium shows, etc ... In recent years, the Culture Diff' company also contributes to hosting college students within the context of their discovery of a professional environment and to the organization of the School Teacher's Day (at the Laboratoire d'Astrophysique de Toulouse-Tarbes then the Institut de Recherche en Astrophysique et Planétologie), to the design and the running of institutional websites (Institut de Recherche en Astrophysique et Planétologie, Graduate School of the « Sciences de l'Univers, de l'Environnement et de l'Espace », Polaris Midi-Pyrenees Network), to the drafting of the Communication component of various scientific projects such as OCEVU (« Origin, Components and EVolution of the Universe ») designated as a Laboratory of Excellence by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research in 2012. Thus, the Culture Diff' company is gradually extending its activities to the dissemination of scientific culture and the exploitation of the results of basic research to research areas strongly represented in the Midi-Pyrenees Region.
